Azazi, PDP face-off national embarrassment –ACN

The Action Congress
of Nigeria (ACN)
yesterday said the
face-off between
the National Security Adviser (NSA), General Andrew
Azazi, and the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) over the
cause of Boko Haram crisis is a
national embarrassment. National publicity secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said yesterday in a statement that “we have said it several times that the PDP and the government it controls at the centre are clueless, confused and
totally incapable of piloting the affairs of this nation. Is there any better evidence of this cluelessness than what Nigerians are witnessing now? “It does not matter how much the President tries to engage in damage control over the statement credited to his NSA, or the ever-so knee-jerk and poorly-thought-out reaction of the sinking behemoth called the PDP, the reality is that the NSA’s shocking comments reflect the thinking in the highest echelon of the Jonathan administration, that the crooked politics of the PDP is behind the Boko Haram crisis, and that it has escalated because a son of the South-South is sitting in Aso Rock.” The opposition party said that “with this pedestrian analysis of the crisis that predates the Jonathan administration (Boko Haram leader was killed extra- judicially during the Yar’adua years, triggering a wave of revenge attacks that have now escalated), is it any wonder that the PDP federal government has been shooting the breeze, so to say, in trying to tackle the crisis? Can a disease that can’t be correctly diagnosed be managed or cured?”

BAD SON: Calabar Man Impregnates His Father’s Wife

“Since she is a young lady I thought my father may be unable to satisfy her sexually,” Emmanuel Okon Akpan, an indigene of Odukpani LGA of Cross River State, shocked residents of the area when he engaged in a face-off with his father for allegedly snatching the old man’s wife, Agnes Akpan. The trouble appears to have reached a point of no reconciliation as the young man has also impregnated the woman, claiming he so much loves her. Emmanuel, who is currently in detention at the Federal Housing Police Station, is to explain to the police what relationship he has with his father’s wife that has culminated in pregnancy. Mr. Akpan, Emmanuel’s father, was
heard at the police station lamenting that his first son “has snatched my wife that I just married not long ago.” Mr. Akpan said he is a widower who lost his first wife some years ago and had been single until recently when he decided to marry Agnes, adding that he had not savoured the warmth of his newly married wife up to a year when he suddenly suspected that his son was having affairs with her. “What culminated in the pregnancy started when the boy started courting my wife with gifts, wears and money, telling her that he was ready to take good care of her and the lady fell for him.” He said after his son swept the lady’s heart, she started
avoiding him. “She was always
in my son’s one room apartment, even at odd times of the night.” The son, who did not deny having carnal knowledge of his father’s wife, claimed that while his father was in the process of bringing Agnes home, he thought the man was engaging the lady for him. Agnes and the son were alleged to have started calling
Mr. Akpan an old man, claiming
the man was disturbing their life. This prompted the man to
report to the police. However, the man was said to have gone berserk recently, after realising that his wife was pregnant for his son; threatening to kill both of them. Responding to questions, Emmanuel did not deny having carnal knowledge of his father’s wife. He claimed that while his father was in the process of bringing
Agnes home, he thought the man was engaging the lady for him. Olu Famous Blog gathered that the Police was at a loss as to how best to handle the “delicate matter” and that some family members said taking the case to court will further publicize it and bring disgrace to their family.
